The five groups each aim to launch an accountable care entity (ACE) by July 1. An ACE provides “care coordination services” for Medicaid clients to help reduce costs in the Medicaid program. Each ACE will “build an infrastructure to support care management functions among the providers in the network, such as health information technology, risk assessment tools, data analytics, and communication with Medicaid members” as part of the cost-reducing efforts of the program.
Health and Family Services released the solicitation requesting proposals on August, 1, 2013, and in October 2013, Presence Health partnered with Advanced Resources to have us assist with their RFP. We provided staffing support in provider relations and provider relations scheduling. Our associates met with physicians to have them review and express their interest and commitment for current Medicaid patients and potential for more Medicaid patients.
The submission deadline for the RFP was January 3, 2014, and we are pleased to say that Presence Health won preliminary approval. We continue to work with Presence Health by assisting with credentialing and updating nearly 800 contracts. We look forward to building on this successful partnership!
